Registration - KYA 306D Chassis No. - 28378 M.O.T. - Exempt Odometer - 60,441 This truly splendid Elf has had just three owners from new who’ve amassed a modest 60,000 miles between them. Apparently stored for 16 years from 1976, it has since been completely but sympathetically refurbished, during which process the shell was taken back to bare metal and refinished in its original livery of Old English White over Cumberland Green, while the original green all-leather interior was completely re-Connollised. The accompanying original bill of sale from Miller & Son of Crewkerne, Somerset shows the 1966 purchase price to have been £638, but many thousands have more recently been absorbed in bringing the Riley up to its near concours condition. Along the way it has been treated to £4,000 worth of upgrades, including refurbished Downton twin SU carburettors and inlet manifold, and a Maniflow stainless steel exhaust system. The car also benefits from new Cooper S front brake discs and rides on new rose petal 10 inch wheels shod with equally new tyres. Already a prize winner at Mini shows, ‘KYA 306D’ is unsurprisingly felt by the vendor to have ‘excellent’ bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, A Series engine and manual gearbox. It is now offered complete with a full photographic record of the restoration along with all the original parts that have been replaced by upgrades, including: wheels and tyres, hub caps, steering wheel, carburettor, inlet manifold, exhaust, and complete front braking system. A rare and attractive pocket rocket that’s fully ready for a new owner to enjoy. In tune with upgrades for the standard Mini, Hydrolastic suspension was fitted to the Elf from September 1964, some 30,912 examples of which were manufactured all told. In summary: • A pristine example that seemingly wants for nothing • Features a selection of desirable upgrades • Accompanied by lots of original spare parts
