Registration - H696 WAG Chassis No. - VF320CB6223789244 M.O.T. - May 2022 Odometer - 53,325 Of all the iconic hot hatches, the Peugeot 205 GTi sits way up towards the top of the thermometer scale - and Dimma-converted Peugeot 205 GTis take the mercury higher still. ‘H696 WAG’ is one of the hottest, having recently emerged from a ground-up renovation at the hands of Dimma UK founder Terry Pankhurst, who says this car has been rebuilt to last at least another 30 years. It now sports a brand new original Dimma bodykit and has benefited from an interior retrim and engine refresh, and we’re assured that it drives exactly as it should and feels like new. ‘H696 WAG’ is the last of 10 ‘Signature Series’ builds and features the signature plaque on the dash and the kit serial number plaque under the bonnet. Terry Pankhurst and his team started turning up the 205 GTi heat in 1986, offering muscular bodykits which perfectly echoed the car’s raw performance and lively road manners, creating what Retro Cars magazine described as ‘the Holy Grail of French hot hatch excess’. Widened front and rear arches accommodated 16-inch custom split-rim wheels, while chunky bumpers, front, rear and roof spoilers and a distinctive hatchback grille all added to the car’s sheer presence. In true 1980s and ‘90s style, Dimma bodykits were flashy and aggressive, but they were also impeccably engineered and were sold through Peugeot dealerships in the UK. In period, these wide-bodied machines cost roughly twice the price of a standard GTi and some 250 were built between 1986 and 1992. This is an eminently collectable car which has been ‘future-proofed’ by Dimma themselves. It promises a huge amount of fun – and we are confident that it will deliver! In summary: • Highly collectable, rare example • 10 of ten ‘Signature Series’ builds • Fresh from a ground-up renovation by Dimma UK, with new original Dimma bodykit
