Registration - KUJ 296F Chassis No. - A/A2S7S1036776M M.O.T. - Exempt Odometer - 321 This splendid-looking Mini was first registered on September 9, 1967. Finished in the attractive combination of Snowberry White over Island Blue it has been the subject of numerous upgrades over the years, that have transformed it into a Cooper S replica and more. In 2015, the body was apparently stripped to bare metal and then repainted to a very high standard in what had been the original colour combination. The engine has been re-engineered to fast road specification. Now of 1293cc capacity it features a 40DCOE Weber carburettor on a swan neck inlet manifold, Maniflow exhaust manifold, Fletcher stainless steel exhaust system, polished chrome rocker cover, and electronic ignition. The braking system boasts Cooper S front discs and servo, Minifin rear drums and braided hoses all round, and the pocket rocket rides on reverse rim Cooper S wheels shod with Yokohama A032 tyres. The boot houses twin Cooper S fuel tanks linked to a facet electric pump. The luxurious cabin is trimmed in grey leather and benefits from bucket seats, a leather-rimmed steering wheel and rare Broadspeed clock pod. Outside upgrades of note include a leather bonnet strap, quick release grille, twin exterior mirrors, and a Lucas auxiliary rear light. An altogether very exciting little car which the vendor understandably considers to have ‘excellent’ bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, engine and transmission. The odometer currently registers just 321 miles. The first Mini to bear the name of F1 racing car constructor John Cooper was the Mini-Cooper of 1961. With an eye on the appropriate racing classes, BMC eventually produced three versions of the more powerful Cooper S with 970, 1071 and 1275cc engines respectively. In summary: • An immaculately presented Cooper S evocation and more • Treated to a high standard respray in 2015 • Upgraded throughout to fast road specification
