Registration - EDE 113R Chassis No. - KG4ZH2303147 M.O.T. - May 2022 Odometer - 87,000 This exciting-looking righthand drive Galant import is impressively presented – it is freshly arrived from South Africa with all duties paid and now UK registered as ‘EDE 113R’. It is finished in metallic orange, trimmed in orange-piped black leather and rides on black and silver wide-rim alloy wheels. The go-faster specification includes: wrapped four-branch exhaust manifold, high performance air filter, Momo non-slip pedal covers and leather-rimmed steering wheel. The vendor considers the undersealed coupe bodywork, paintwork, retrimmed upholstery, twin carburettor 1600cc engine and five-speed manual gearbox to all be in ‘excellent’ order, and is offering this rare Japanese classic complete with new battery and heater matrix, DataDot security system and spare wheel, plus a current MOT valid into May of next year. A fine opportunity for those who fancy something a little off the normal classic radar. The underpinnings of today’s Mitsubishi Motors date back to 1870 and the founding of a shipping company. The first passenger vehicle was created as early as 1917, and the automotive division separated from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1970. The first generation Colt Galant debuted in the December of 1969 with a choice of 1.3 or 1.5 litre engines – Mitsubishi’s first OHC power units. The more comfortable and commodious second generation version hit the streets in 1973 and had a relatively short lifespan of three years – hence its rareness. By now Mitsubishi’s aspirations were growing, and it was exported far more widely than its predecessor. It was also more curvaceous than the first series, its shape clearly somewhat influenced by the ‘coke bottle’ styling of the period. In summary: • A rare Japanese classic in ‘outstanding, rust free’ condition • Complete with a variety of go-faster options • Features ‘superb alloys and tyres, and slick gearbox’
