Registration - J1 DXT Chassis No. - WBABS320X0JY32213 M.O.T. - February 2022 Odometer - 165,323 Finished in silver and trimmed in light grey leather, ‘J1 DXT’ certainly looks the part and is considered by the vendor to be in ‘immaculate’ condition. It has clearly been cherished by the five keepers it has had to date, who have amassed a total of 165,323 miles between them. Apparently the car has recently been treated to a complete new exhaust system, since when the engine is said to run ‘very nice and quiet’. The vendor informs us that the convertible is ‘a real head turner with the hood down’ and that he’s driven the car all over North East Yorkshire ‘without a single problem’. He describes the BMW as ‘a beautiful car inside and out’ and currently grades the six-cylinder engine, automatic transmission and paintwork as ‘excellent’ and the bodywork and upholstery as ‘good’. He is now offering the car for sale complete with lots of paperwork relating to the work it has taken to maintain the BMW in the condition it is today. The E46 was the fourth generation of BMW’s all-conquering 3 Series model. Produced from 1997 to 2006 it was available in saloon, coupe, estate and convertible guises and with a range of engines from 1.6 to 3.0-litres. That which powered the popular 325i model in 2003 delivered 189bhp and 181 lb ft of torque – sufficient output to combine lively performance with a pleasing level of economy. The E46 generation of 3 Series models has for many enthusiasts proved to be the cream of an excellent crop, and good examples of most versions are increasingly keenly sought. The ensuing model was the E90, another fine offering but a car of different character. In summary: • A great-looking car in clearly good condition for its age and mileage • Benefits from a recently-fitted new exhaust system • Equipped with automatic transmission
