Registration - F169 LKL Chassis No. - WBAEC7412K0608627 M.O.T. - May 2022 Odometer - 75,986 Extremely well-presented in Cinnabar Red that’s complemented by light tan interior trim, this lovely lefthand drive 635 spent its life in America until imported to the UK in 2006. A manual transmission example, it rides on the period correct Michelin TRX wheels and tyres and is equipped with a factory-fitted tilt/slide sunroof. It also benefits from the full M Sport bodykit and M6 badging, which it has apparently worn from new. The vendor regards the straight-six engine, five-speed gearbox, coupe bodywork, paintwork and luxurious upholstery as all being in ‘excellent’ condition. He is now offering the car for sale complete with owner’s book pack, history file, full service record (the last service stamp was courtesy of Morrison’s of Oban in 2018 at 74,042 miles and the odometer currently reads 75,986) and an MOT valid until May 22. A truly eye-catching example that would surely enhance any classic car collection. In 1982 BMW’s Paul Bracq-penned 6 Series coupe enjoyed a mild facelift, with improved interior and slightly modified exterior. Coincidentally, the range-topping 635 CSi received a new engine of smaller bore and longer stroke, resulting in a capacity of 3,430cc. This was mated to either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The power and torque remained unchanged at 218bhp and 224 lb ft respectively – sufficient to accelerate the big BMW to 60mph in around 7.6secs and on to a top speed of 140mph. Production ceased in 1989 after some 86,216 examples of the 6 Series had been produced. The model was effectively succeeded by the dearer, more complex 8 Series, though BMW had originally intended to market the 6 and 8 Series cars alongside each other. In summary: • A very smartly-presented lefthand drive example • Benefits from manual transmission and M6 body upgrades • Comes complete with full service history
